Michael's Birthday

Welp, yesterday was the big day! Michael turned 24! When I asked Mike what he wanted for his birthday he said, "my book and a movie." And what did I do? I went above and beyond! I told him I would make him whatever he wanted for dinner and for a cake. That was my mistake. He then tells me that he wants a Star Wars Death Star cake. Now for those of you who know what the death star is...it was not an easy task that I set out on. But I told him I would do it. I even bought a whole new cake pan for it. I baked the cakes on saturday because I knew sunday was going to be pretty busy. They turned out pretty good! Then came the daunting task of actually decorating the cake. Thankfully my neighbor, and friend, helped me do that part. I was also making homemade rolls, and soup for dinner along with the cake. So for the time and budget that I had, I think the cake turned out alright. (: I even told Mike it was counted as a birthday present because it was kind of expensive to make. LOL
Anyway, we had a lovely dinner and then I gave mike his presents. He's actually a pretty popular guy, he got gifts from our roommates and our friendly neighbors. (: I think, even though it was a somewhat stressful day since Adelaide was so cranky, I tried to make it a good day for him. I'm really glad his birthday was on a sunday too!
I am SO grateful for him. He works so hard everyday to help provide for us. He is an amazing man, and everything I could ever dream of having. (: We met. We fell in love. We married. We had a baby. (: The crazy thing is, Mike and I really started to notice each other right after my friend had died. It just goes to show that Heavenly Father helps you in trials and hard times. He sent me Michael and what a wonderful blessing he has been in my life. I love him so very much!

So we bought this super cute dress before we moved out to Idaho and this was the first time Adelaide got to wear it. She is so small that she still wears 6 month clothes and is 8 months old! Our baby girl is growing so fast. She crawls everywhere, pulls herself up onto anything, bonks her head, and just laughs a lot. She does super cute faces with her tongue now too. She has two teeth and we are pretty darn sure she is getting a third. She gives kisses, claps and wiggles all the time too. I just thought this dress looked amazing on her, so we took a bunch of pictures. (:

She's learned how to clap

KISSES!!! (:

This was with all the lights off for mikes birthday cake...deer in the headlights???
Our friends (:

Mike and his presents...a texas shirt, saints and soldiers, a new book, a machete and a taco bell gift card.
silly boy (:
Well I think it's time for us to lower Adelaide's bed...

Until next time....

Happy New Year!!!!!

We had a good time in Michigan and had a pretty good new year! We played monopoly and ate a ton to ring in the new year. Sadly, I didn't win monopoly, BUT I did get second place!!! :D

Playing with the puppies (:

We left Michigan on the 3rd and had a pretty rough day. We were going to fly out of Flint, MI to Ohio, to Houston, to Salt Lake. Well, there was too much weight on the flight out of Flint so we volunteered to get on a different flight. Since we volunteered, we got two $250 vouchers to fly again, and we didn't pay for our bags. We also got a straight flight from Detroit to Salt Lake City. So we had Michael's dad take us to Detroit and we hung out there until our flight. What we thought would be a great flight turned out to be a terrible flight. Adelaide was so sleepy that she would not sleep. When she did finally fall asleep she only slept for a few minutes and then would scream. Imagine that on a 3 and a half hour flight. We finally landed, got a car after much trouble there, and went to our hotel. Once again Adelaide would not fall asleep. It took her at least 2 hours to finally fall asleep. Then she woke up early the next day. It was a crazy day.
So the next day we were going to hang around salt lake and what not but it turned out to be a really really cold day. So we went to lunch, walked temple square again, and then did the conference center tour. That was really fun but Adelaide was getting cranky. So we changed our time for the Salt Lake Express and headed home early. Thankfully Adelaide slept the whole way home.

The Tree of Life

Our tour guide was older, BUT he was bookin it through the tour!

The roof of the Conference Center was closed because of ice but it was still really pretty. (:

on the way home (:

We had the weekend to just be at home and be a family before we started school. So that was really nice. We did start school this past Monday. It started out really good, and then I rolled my ankle and had to walk all over campus with a swollen hurt ankle. That was awful. Both mike and I ended up dropping our last 12:45-1:45 class and went home early. Adelaide seemed to do really well at the babysitters house, Trish Dickerson. Which was really good because I was super worried about her all day. Since then we have both re-arranged our schedules a couple of times. It looks like we have a schedule that we are sticking with. We now have 3 classes together, which is actually pretty awesome. I enjoy college, especially college with my husband. (:
Adelaide has been super cute lately. She is crawling like crazy and has now learned to pull herself up onto everything! She also walks really well with help. My baby girl is growing up way too fast!! I love her so much and I realize more and more each day what a blessing she is. She may not have been in our plan at that time, but she was meant for us in God's plan. (:
Addi in her potato sack pajamas (:

standing in the bath look at those rolls!!!

we bought addi these bath toys, and they stick to the wall when they are wet...well they also stick to her head. (:

first time standing up in her bed....i guess we need to lower the mattress down now
Well thats all for now. But one day in Michigan we found Annabelle with her head in the chip bag. It was really funny. So here are a couple of pictures to enjoy until the next time.
