A Little Catching Up To Do

Wow, I just realized today that it has been quite awhile since I have blogged! We have been sooooo busy lately, its ridiculous. Winter semester finally ended, I ended up with 3 B's, 1 A, and 1 C. BOO! Stupid classes! I vowed to at least get all Bs for spring semester. So after the winter semester ended we had a nice week break. Then Michael's grandmother, Nana, came into town. Her and Adelaide share the same birthday so it was a really special time. We had a lot of fun. We celebrated two birthdays in one and had a blast! We had a good ole fashion Polish dinner which consisted of Borscht (basically beet soup), pierogies (kinda like dumplings), kielbasa, chocolate bread (it's really just pumpernickel bread), and cake (for the birthdays of course)! It was pretty delicious. I know beet soup sounds really disgusting but I have to admit it grows on ya. I really like it now. We had a blast with Adelaide opening presents. For some reason towards the end of the day she got really really cranky and wouldn't let anyone but me touch her or hold her. So alot of the pictures are me and her.

By far my favorite picture ever! she loved playing with the maracas and the bells...she went CRAZY!

Nana's birthday present, it's a Willowtree couple dancing and Canon in D Major Plays on it.
Nana's cake...we forgot to take a picture of it before all of the candles...LOL
She has grown so much! I got a little teary-eyed later on that night when I realized that a whole year ago I pushed her out of me! It was an amazing experience and I love her sooo much! It really makes me appreciate my mother. I don't think anyone really understands what it takes to be a mom until they actually do it. It's hard! But worth every minute. Adelaide is saying a few more words now and is practically walking. She just needs to learn how to stand up on her own and she will have it down. She gives kisses and lovies to anything and everything...when she wants. She is such a blessing and I would happily do it again. Which reminds me, we're pregnant again!!! YAY!!!
I am about 13 weeks and going strong. For some reason I feel like it's a boy, so instead of calling the baby "it," I call it "him." LOL I had a dream it would be a girl but I just feel strongly that it's a boy. I have been sick since about 7 weeks and man thats rough. I have to constantly eat or I will throw up, which is weird because I have lost 5lbs so far. Everything seems to be going really well, I have another appointment on monday. We will probably found out that he is a boy at the end of June, it's just kind of how my appointments are lining up. But we are super excited and glad to bring another child into this world. I hope Adelaide will be okay with it. (;
I am in full swing of spring semester. I am taking 12 credits and so far doing pretty good. I mean it's only been about 3 weeks so everyone is doing great at that point. I have almost all online classes so it's really difficult. I have a lot of work and little time to do it. For the first couple of weeks Mike didn't have anything but work so he was able to spend more time with Adelaide. But he has started his CDL schooling and is really only home for about 10 minutes before he has to leave again. His CDL school starts at 7:30am and it's in IF, so he leaves pretty early. He gets home from that at about 4pm and then promptly has to leave for work about 15 minutes later. He doesn't get home from work until about 1am. So like I said, he is home for about 10 minutes. I usually keep Adelaide awake until he gets home so he can see her but by that time she is ready for a nap and is super cranky. So he usually just says hi and then puts her down for a nap. He is working really really hard and I appreciate it so much. As hard as it is on me, I'm sure it's twice as hard for him. He is a great man and I am lucky to have him! I spend a lot of time cleaning, cooking, taking care of Addi, and doing homework. Mike's CDL class only lasts for 6 weeks and we get him on the weekends so hopefully it'll go by really fast. After he finishes that he will apply for linework jobs here and there. Whether or not he gets one quickly depends on if in the meantime he will drive a truck around here for a little bit.
This past weekend Patrick and Julia moved out. So we have been spending ALOT of time moving things around and cleaning the apartment. They moved right across the street and are in a different ward, but they go to the same building so we will still see them.
Anyway, until next time..which hopefully isn't too long..have a great day!

Easter, Birthdays, Visiting Family, and Yellowstone

It's been quite a while since I have posted new stuff so I thought since I'm out of school for a week that now would be a good time to do so.
EASTER: Adelaide isn't walking yet so we decided not to do an easter egg hunt or anything so we just did a nice dinner at home. The day before our apartment complex did a big easter hunt and all the kids in the complex woke up at like 6 and starting running around for eggs. So we woke up pretty early. I took spud out and our downstairs neighbors saved an egg for Adelaide. I took it and went back upstairs to tell mike that maybe we could just have her crawl to it, or I could help her walk to it. She loved it. She thought it was really cool to have an egg. It had a tootsie roll in it and a play plastic bug. She likes tootsie rolls, by the way. (:

For my birthday we had a small party and then we went to a friends comedy show on campus. It was pretty fun. I don't remember if I wrote about this already. But mike made me a birthday girl shirt and made me wear a pin, and a crown. So I took a couple of pictures to let everyone know how dumb I felt wearing what I did. He also made me a turtle cheesecake that turned out amazing. It looked more like a marble cheesecake but it was still really good. (:

Mike's mom, little brother, and step dad came to visit during Blake's spring break since they weren't able to make it for Adelaide's first birthday. Blake came in on friday, the 6th, and then mike's mom and step dad came in on the 10th. We had a pretty good time. We didn't get to do as much since there isn't really anything to do in Rexburg. So the friday before they left we all went to West Yellowstone. We went to this bear and wolf retreat thing and just walked through and looked at them. It was pretty cool with the wolves because we got there in time for feeding. The bears were kind of boring, but still massive.

They had these cute little sunglasses so we put them on Addi, she didn't like them.

She kept trying to eat the bar...

"work it!!"

She doesn't like shoes so she just wore socks that day
Giant stuffed polar bear that was killed and then put on display
They had a snowball fight...blake won. (:
We also did a small little birthday thing for Adelaide while they were here. We just did a dinner, cake and then the present that they got her. We did go shopping for her but we decided to wait to give her the stuff that we bought her. She was super cranky up until dinner, and then all through dinner, so we had to put her down for a nap, which didnt go well. We finally just fed her some food, even though she already ate, and then let her open the present while I made her cake. She loved it! They got her a walking thing. She pushes it and it had a bunch of things to play with on the front. It will really help her with walking, at least I think it will. I didn't get any pictures of it yet except for ones on my phone and I haven't uploaded them yet. I think she had a pretty good time. She didn't like the cake very much though.

Sadly, we have to give spud away. After all the trouble we went through he does not do well with adelaide. He wants to dominate her at every turn. One day, he knocked her over and sat on her! I couldn't believe it. Every time she touches one of his toys he freaks out and runs over to her and steals it. He just needs more room to run around and it doesnt look like we will be able to get a house any time soon. So we figured it would be better for him to have a yard to play in and maybe not such little kids around until he gets older. He is doing well with potty training though. You have to make sure to take him out about every 1-2 hours or he will pee in the house. He also got worms. :( It was really gross so we had to get him some medicine for that, hopefully he will get better. He doesn't seem to affected by it. He just has weird poops. I really liked him, but he was too rough with Adelaide and didn't know when to stop playing. Next time we get a dog, which will probably be sooner rather than later we will probably get a girl, and she will be older. One that is already house trained and better with kids. Mike thinks a lab would be good. (: So we will see.

Busy Bees

We have been so crazy busy lately. This past week we had so much stuff to do. I had to try and get all of my visiting teaching done, group projects, my birthday, and our car broke down. So most of last week was spent on the go.
Friday was my birthday. I already got my presents so mike just got me something small for the day off. Oh...we got a puppy!!!! That was one of my presents. His name is spud and he is an Australian Shepherd/Blue heeler/Border Collie mix. He is super cute and very energetic. We got him as a puppy so right now he is 8 weeks old. He isn't as cuddly as I would like but he is pretty fun to play with. We are crate training him while we also potty train him. It has been very difficult to potty train Spud. He has good days and then very bad days. It's difficult but we are determined to make it work. (:
So for Friday mike got me a birthday shirt, birthday pin, and a birthday tiara. Yes...a tiara. I only wore it for a little bit because it was too small and dug into my head. We skipped class to make a day of fun and laziness. Well while mike was getting the car washed (not the truck) he went to start it up after and it wouldn't start. Needless to say we ended up spending my birthday at the dealership trying to get another car. Luckily we saved some of our tax refund money, so we used a little of that to get a new car. We got a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. It's really nice and only had 122,000 miles on it. It gets very good gas mileage and is pretty spacious. While buying a car wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday I started to feel really bad. So I just went home and took a nap.
We ended up celebrating the next day, Saturday. We had a couple of friends over and we had hamburgers and baked beans. It was pretty delicious. Mike even made me my mom's special turtle cheesecake! It turned out so good! We also went to a friends comedy show on campus and then came home and opened some presents. It was a pretty fun, chill day. It was a pretty darn good birthday. I got to spend it with Adelaide, Mike, and some friends. I had a good time. (:
This past sunday was Easter!!!! (: What a wonderful holiday to celebrate! We had lamb, mashed potatoes, rolls, broccoli, and deviled eggs. I never had lamb before, and I liked it! It was pretty good! We had a good day skyping family and just spending time together.
Adelaide has been so silly lately. She says so many words now. She can say, "uh oh," "dada," "cheese," and "up." She has one of her upper canines in and the other one is right behind it. I'm pretty sure she will have a lisp but it will be super cute. (: Here are some pictures of her...until next time....
