"L, is for the way you Look at me!"

Well how about that general conference session!!??! That was some amazing stuff that is for sure! I know that we have a prophet of God upon the earth today! He is here to lead and guide us all back to our Father in Heaven. I know that he receives modern revelation. I am so grateful for the apostles of the Lord and our prophet Thomas S. Monson. What a blessing it is to know of the truthfulness of the gospel.
Last sunday we went to Idaho Falls to pick up Mike's grandmother for a visit. She stayed until this past friday. It was nice to have someone else to be here and to hang out with. She just loves baby Adelaide! :D At first Adelaide wasn't quite sure if she was safe, but after a day she decided that Nana was as good as any of us. We had a good time this past week just spending time together and showing her around Rexburg. We showed her the temple and around campus. We also go to take her to Deseret Book, which is just a bookstore by the church. It has all kinds of things in it. We went there to get her a book that answered all the questions about the LDS church. It turns out that a book just came out that was exactly what we were looking for for her. It's called Mormons: An Open Book by Anthony Sweat. It basically answers all the questions that are circulating around the world about us. Nana is very accepting of the church. Even though she doesn't agree with some things she tries to understand it, and we appreciate that so much! So we were pretty excited when we found this book for her. I suggest this book to everyone, members or not. It has pictures and timelines and all kinds of information. Anyway, that was fun. I also got to cook dinner for her this past week! I think Nana is the only one on Mike's side of the family that has ever really had my cooking. So that was really fun. Thankfully, I didn't have any dud recipes. LOL
"DONT LOOK AT ME!!"
"Fine!"
Recently I made this DIY headband from a t-shirt and it looked so cute on her!
Playing peek-a-boo with daddy (:

so cute (:
Adelaide is now 5 and a half months old! She will be 6 months old on the 23!! I can't believe how much she has grown! She still whines like crazy but we are trying to help her with that. She is starting to learn how to sit up on her own! She has such a "squatty body", as my dad calls it, that she has a hard time keeping her balance between her big belly and chubby thighs. She will get there though. Also, Adelaide is trying to crawl. She keeps pulling her legs up onto her knees, but that's all she knows how to do. She hasn't quite got the whole lifting herself up part. Although I am excited for her to crawl I am kind of dreading it too. Because that means she will get into everything. I found that Adelaide is a curious little girl. Right now she gets around by rolling over and turning herself around. It's pretty cute. She is still talking all the time, I dont think that will ever change. Lately she has been fond of putting her whole hand into her mouth while I'm feeding baby food to her. It's terrible with the oatmeal in the mornings because that is so sticky and just gets everywhere. Once it's on the hands, its everywhere else too!
Awhile ago we bought a box of gerber baby food from Sam's Club. Well we are almost out. So I decided to start making our own baby food. I didn't realize it was so easy! It saves us money too! And I kind of like doing it! Lately I've made applesauce, bananas, and carrots. We go to the farmers market on fridays and get fresh fruits and veggies there so I can make food for her. This past Friday there wasn't a whole lot of good stuff so I only bought carrots, but maybe next time I will be able to get something else. We haven't tried squash with her yet, so I might try and get some squash next time if I can. Also, Adelaide is officially on formula. :( I was nursing and realized that Adelaide was still hungry. So I started to pump and see how much I was getting. I wasn't getting enough and thought it was just the stress from moving and what not. Well after we got to Idaho my supply kept going down. To a point where I was only getting about an ounce from each side. So, after completely forgetting to pump one day (we were soo busy that day), we just decided to put her on formula completely. We haven't really had any problems yet. Besides that fact that her formula is $16 a can. We have been spending quite a bit on that which is kind of disappointing, but ya gotta do whatchya gotta do!
I have been trying to find ideas for holiday pictures this year and found quite a few ideas on pinterest. So I have been practicing with the camera on Adelaide different settings and what not. Plus, I just love taking pictures of her! She is too cute!
at the farmers market (:

"hmmm"

She is big enough to ride in the cart now!
We played outside with our neighbors yesterday.
Mike fed her chocolate and then stuck her binky in...lol
Anywho, we are doing well up here. Mike is doing pretty good in his classes considering that he goes to school full time and works full time. He is looking forward to a break! So for this thanksgiving we are going to deep fry a turkey and just be grateful that we are blessed to be out here! Hopefully it works out. LOL I just love the holidays. This time of year is so much fun. The leaves turning, the weather cooling down and enjoying different holidays. We are pretty excited for Halloween even though our ward/stake isn't doing a trunk-or-treat. Then for Christmas we are going to Michigan! YAY!!! That will  be lots of fun!

"Growing Up....Wont Bring Us Down"

Adelaide has a new thing...well two new things. First, one day I was changing her diaper and she pulled up her legs like she usually does and then puts her tiny little cute piggies in her mouth!!! :D It looked so uncomfortable but she was smiling and chuckling to herself. (: It was the cutest little thing. So every so often she decides to chew on her feet. Mostly when I change her diaper she chews her little toes. Second, she whines. This girl only cries when she is either hurt or scared. She only ever whines now. It's a very whiney whine too....basically its frustrating. I love her to death but oh man she whines all the time now and half of the time it's for no reason. It's frustrating but I love my daughter none the less.

We have recently set up her highchair. Every time I would feed her in the little bouncy chair she would try to sit up, so I figured it was time to try the highchair. Now let me tell ya, this highchair is awesome! It has two separate settings for the chair (laying down and sitting up). It also has a "snack tray" along with a regular tray that goes over it. THEN...it has this little cup holder thing shaped like Pooh's honey pot, but its not a cup holder! ITs so that you can put the snacks in it and then it tips over and pours a few out onto the tray!! :D How cool is that!? I know I am pathetic, I am raving about this high chair. It is a massive high chair though. It looks like a thrown for her, its perfect because her nickname is "Princess." I'm not sure when we started calling her that but we have.

Daddy isn't as good with the oatmeal (:

A couple of weeks ago we had a Multi-Stake Conference at the I-Center. Well they organized a new stake and the boundaries within some wards. A week before that we were informed that our apartment building was in the new ward, the 31st ward. (: This past week was our first week as a new ward! It was good! I'm excited for this ward. We haven't had a lot of structure yet but I am feeling very excited. :D
Recently Aunt Cara sent Adelaide some clothes to borrow during the winter. So we put her in a couple of outfits and ohhh she looked so cute! We put her in some shoes for this past sunday and they looked adorable.

Also, Adelaide loves being outside! But now that it's getting colder I don't wanna risk her getting a cold or anything, so I dont take her out as often. A lot of times if the window in the living room is open she looks up at it and tries to grab at it. So I let her stand on the couch and watch the cars go by. Sometimes I think she is waiting for daddy to come home, it's cute. (: Sometimes she will just cross her hands and sit there and watch cars go by. But once I take her outside and lay her down she just gets so excited! She would spend hours out there if I let her. I foresee a lot of family sports games in the front/backyard like my family used to do.
Oh....and I cut off her mullet hair. (:
She does grab at anything and everything to put in her mouth
So many of you might have a pinterest account. I am one of those weirdos who spends many hours on that website looking for new craft ideas or recipes. There are some awesome recipes one that website! It has been rather chilly here lately. And tonight the low is 19 degrees. Pretty cold. So I found a nice recipe for crockpot hot chocolate. I was really craving hot chocolate anyway and thought tonight was a really nice nice to make some. I also thought it would be nice for mike when he gets home from work at midnight to have a nice hot cup of cocoa. It turned out pretty good I think. It had a little to much cocoa powder but i can tweak it a little bit and it will be delish!!! :D

I am so excited to start school in January. I will finally be able to start finishing my degree. I'm still not sure what I am going to be doing but still excited to continue. I want to finish for my family. It's important to me that i get a degree. I want Adelaide to know that a degree is important and I want to show Michael and the rest of my family that while I am a mother and a wife first, I can also have a career.
Nikki is getting married next month. It's actually less than a month away. As I talk with her about going to the temple and the excitement and joys of being married it makes me miss her so much! I havent seen her in almost a year and she isn't moving back to Idaho until next year. :( My excitement grows each and everyday for her as her special day grows near. It reminds me of the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The blessings of having the knowledge of the true church. I know that she is making a HUGE decision but I am supporting her all the way. Marriage in the temple is the most amazing thing and I am so excited for her. There is nothing better than being able to walk through those temple doors to make the most important decisions. I better get a phone call after everything has calmed down!!!
THEN AND NOW (: oh how we have both changed
At a YSA dance in Georgia (i think in 2010)

This past thursday, the 4th, my one and only nephew turned 1!!! I can't believe he is already one year old! I remember when he was born!! That chubby little baby came into this world and captured all of our hearts! He is so sweet and fun! I'm sad that I'm missing him walking and learning so much. I am so grateful for him. He has been a blessing in my life. I love him so much! I guess I better shout out to Jon too. His birthday is on Monday. He's such a goofball. But in all seriousness, he is a great brother in law.  There I said it! He's a good guy who cares and loves my sister to no end! So happy birthday jon! I hope you enjoy our card we sent. (;

Crazy Baby!! :D

I officially don't like Michael working full time and going to school full time. I get to see him for about 3 hours a day and in those three hours he is usually nose deep in a book. But, we did know that this is what it was going to be like. I just miss having him around. Adelaide just adores him. Every time he walks in the room she just lights up like a christmas tree. I know that we can do this but oh man its stinky. I just need to get back into painting (while Addi sleeps) to pass some time until I get into school.

I painted last night after Adelaide went to bed for around 4 hours! I didn't even realize I had been painting for that long! Mike said "have you been painting for 4 hours?!" I said, "does it look like it?" (i know that sounds sarcastic but i promise it wasnt). He said, "no, haha." I said "aw dang, because I have." For those of you who don't know I do paint by numbers because I cant draw and paint my own paintings. LOL They take forever to do to! But I love painting. It's so relaxing and serene.

Julia and I have decided to switch off weeks to cook. So she will cook one week and then I will cook the next, etc. Well I have been trying TONS of new recipes and so far I have done pretty good. I have made pizza rolls, mexican chicken alfredo, Hawaiin BBQ crockpot chicken, and a ton of other recipes. I am so proud of myself for cooking every night!! :D I guess I am a half way decent homemaker.

Adelaide has a new favorite food: BANANAS!!! We feed her bananas and she just LOVES them so much. She opens her mouth super wide to eat them. It's so cute. She doesn't do her cheesy smile anymore. She kind of only did that for a few days, which is sad because it's super duper cute. She talks all the time and rolls her tongue like you learn how to do in spanish class when you say your "r's." She knows how to pull her legs and butt up like she wants to crawl but doesnt know how to do anything else. She doesn't quite sit on her own yet, but we are working on it everyday. She is just growing up so fast! Aunt Cara sent her some clothes that Afton and Reesa wore in the winter and they looks so cute on her. I put the leg warmers on her that she sent and oh my goodness she looked adorable! She likes being tossed around and bounced, and if you make the hiccup sound she just laughs hysterically.

Chillin wiff Daddy
She was mid-sentance LOL

SHe had crazy hair that day so I put this on her. (:

LUB HER!

Daddy's home!!! :D
The leg warmers that Aunt Cara sent!!! (:
Anywho, I love being a stay at home mom. It's so much fun!! Although I am excited to start school again. Im not exactly sure what I want to do but I still have a good while before I have to declare my major.
I am so excited for Aunt Leler!!! She is pregnant and I'm pretty sure she is going to have a girl. I just have a feeling! Although I will be in school when she is supposed to have the baby, hopefully we can see them next summer! And my bestest friend ever is getting married this November. I can't believe it! It's so exciting! I wish I could be there, but I will definitely be there in spirit! Until next time, have a great week! :D
