Almost There!

We only have about 4 weeks left until this semester is over! I love school but I'm excited for the week break before classes start again. We have family coming in for Adelaide's birthday next month, so that will be fun.
Michael and I have been trying to get him his CDL license so that he can get into power line work. We have come to a few obstacles but we have figured them out for the most part. Hopefully, since he isn't on track for school next semester, he can apply for the school and get in for the July openings. He is doing well in his classes, well as well as you can while working 40 hours a week and going to school full time. He is such a hard worker and I appreciate him so much!
I have just registered for classes next semester. Thankfully I got all the classes I needed except for one, which is okay. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get into a tennis or volleyball class, so I am going to try and do the intramural tennis team. I really want a fun class and it looks like I will have a pretty boring semester. It's one step closer to graduating so I will deal with it. (:
Adelaide is doing great. She is growing so fast. It seems that every since she has been sick she hasn't wanted to walk. She would prefer to crawl, so she might be a late walker. She lost so much weight and was so drained that I figured it took a lot out of her. She had a check-up last weekend and they said she sound great! Her lungs sounded clear and she gained a pound back! She is a whopping 16lbs! LOL So she is a little small but they said not to worry, that she will bounce back. She has a tooth coming in with another one not far behind. The funny part is that its what we call the vampire teeth. She has two bottom front teeth right now and no signs of the top front teeth coming in. I looked and her left vampire tooth has started to poke its way through. Her right one is very close to poking through also. So, I imagine she is going to look silly for awhile until her top front teeth come in. I'm so glad she is getting more teeth. She is ready for big people food and done with baby food for the most part but since she has only two teeth she can't chew well. She gums everything until it disintegrates. It's really funny. She loves to read and throw balls too. I took her to the park with a friend the other day to try out the swings.  She didn't like it one bit. I don't think she felt very secure in the swing, especially since she is so small and they were so big. She started crying very quickly. Luckily, I snapped a picture right before the tears came. Maybe we can try again in a few months.

This past tuesday we got a new nephew in the family!!! Jaxson Holland Quick was born 8lbs 13.6 oz and 21 inches long. He had some trouble breathing at first and then he got an infection, but he is doing very good now. He was able to meet his older brother, Jace for the first time today. I wish I could be there so bad! I want to hold that baby!! I'm so happy for Jon and Leisha! They make such adorable kids. He looks a lot like Jon to me...I dont know why but he just does.
He doesn't have all this on him anymore...this was the only picture I had though
Before Adelaide got sick we took a few pictures of her eating her first waffle. It was really funny. She loved them!

She has been doing this cute thing that when we feed her baby food she will grab a hold of the spoon with her top gums and her teeth and won't let go. She give us a huge smile as the food seeps out the sides of her mouth until we smile back and then she releases the spoon. It's so funny. Her little nose crinkles up and she just gives a huge cheesy smile. (:

Adelaide looks so cute in these little headbands. This one she doesn't seem to like. I think it is a little itchy. I have a plain white clothy one that looks so adorable. But here are a few pictures. (: Until next time....

Better Baby

Adelaide is doing so well now! We got to go home from the hospital last thursday ( a week ago) thankfully! She was sent home with antibiotics and a steroid for her nebulizer to help with the inflammation. The morning before we left I noticed that Adelaide's IV arm (right) was really swollen and hard. We immediately told the nurses and they quickly took her IV out telling us that it was infiltrated and began dispersing the fluids into her arm. They said that it wasn't a big deal and that her arm should be back to normal that night. They also said that since she lost a good bit of weight that she might not eat as much for a few days. It took her awhile to get back to her normal feeding schedule. But, all in all, she is doing so much better! She is back to her usual self and I love it! It just broke my heart when she was so sick. Plus it scared me just a little bit. I am truly grateful that she has recovered so well.
Mike and I have struggled catching up in school but we are doing our best! They have this thing on the BYU-I website called "what-if calculator". Basically you can put in estimates for future grades and see what the final grade will be. Well I did that and realized that no matter how hard I try I will probably come out of this semester with Bs. :( I am really disappointed because I have been trying super hard to make all As this semester. I guess I will have to try harder next semester!
Until next time check out my facebook for pictures and videos of Adelaide. (:
